jarekwishik - Jared Wishik, M.D.

Jared Wishik, M.D. specializes in treating a variety of skin conditions. Whether you have a concerning spot, are frustrated with your acne, noticed a changing mole, developed a new rash, are suffering from a complex skin disease, are in need of skin cancer screening, or have any other concerns with your skin, Dr. Wishik has the training, expertise, and compassion to treat your condition. He is honored to take care of each and every one of his patients as if you were one of his family members. His practice includes medical dermatology, cutaneous surgery, and cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Wishik is a Tampa native and loves to take care of patients in his hometown. After attending Berkeley Preparatory School, he completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University before working for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta as a research coordinator for the Epidemiology and Prevention Branch of the Influenza Division. Returning to his home state, he went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Florida. He then completed a rigorous internal medicine internship at University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by completion of his dermatology residency at the prestigious University of Chicago where he trained with some of the most renowned academic dermatologists in the country and was honored to be named Chief Resident.

Dr. Wishik’s first passion in life was basketball. He played in high school and still plays weekly if time allows. He loves traveling (pre-pandemic, of course), cooking, sports (Go Bucs, Gators, and Magic!), film, and spending as much time with family and close friends as possible. He is passionate about always learning more (through podcasts, books, articles)—about others, about himself, and about the world around him.

Dr. Wishik is now seeing patients at our Seminole Blvd and Brandon offices
