Jerry Hedrick, MD, was born in Virginia and raised in West Virginia. He received his Bachelors from West Virginia University, Masters and MD from the University of Kentucky. He did his internship and residency at United States Public Health Service Hospital in New York.
Dr. Hedrick has been practicing dermatology for over 40 years and is one of the most dedicated physicians you will find in Tampa Bay. His patients span generation of families and they all will tell you it is his attention to detail and connection he makes with his patients that keep them loyal. Dr. Hedrick welcomed the merger of Suncoast Skin Solutions and Bay Dermatology in 2013 as an opportunity to continue to provide his outstanding standard of patient care that he has practiced for so long.
In his spare time, Dr. Hedrick likes reading and attending antique shows but it is his grandchildren that keep him busy. A truly dedicated grandfather he was actively present and mentored his grandson in the Boyscouts of America.

Jared Wishik, M.D. specializes in treating a variety of skin conditions. Whether you have a concerning spot, are frustrated with your acne, noticed a changing mole, developed a new rash, are suffering from a complex skin disease, are in need of skin cancer screening, or have any other concerns with your skin, Dr. Wishik has the training, expertise, and compassion to treat your condition. He is honored to take care of each and every one of his patients as if you were one of his family members. His practice includes medical dermatology, cutaneous surgery, and cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Wishik is a Tampa native and loves to take care of patients in his hometown. After attending Berkeley Preparatory School, he completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University before working for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta as a research coordinator for the Epidemiology and Prevention Branch of the Influenza Division. Returning to his home state, he went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Florida. He then completed a rigorous internal medicine internship at University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by completion of his dermatology residency at the prestigious University of Chicago where he trained with some of the most renowned academic dermatologists in the country and was honored to be named Chief Resident.
Dr. Wishik’s first passion in life was basketball. He played in high school and still plays weekly if time allows. He loves traveling (pre-pandemic, of course), cooking, sports (Go Bucs, Gators, and Magic!), film, and spending as much time with family and close friends as possible. He is passionate about always learning more (through podcasts, books, articles)—about others, about himself, and about the world around him.
Kathy Hedrick, ARNP was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and relocated to Florida more than 33 years ago. She attended City University of New York, College of Staten Island and received her BA, MS in nursing from the University of South Florida.
While in New York, Kathy was a dedicated United States Public Health Service employee. Once in Florida Kathy worked for the State of Florida Medicare Program office and then joined her husband Dr. Jerry Hedrick at his practice, Bay Dermatology. Kathy has spent many years perfecting her dermatologic and cosmetic skills and continues to provide her patients with the newest and most advanced cosmetic procedures available.
Like her husband, Kathy enjoys antiquing and reading historical novels. She spend her spare time attending music concerts and antique shows and volunteers with women’s groups at the Brandon Outreach Clinic.
Kathy is currently accepting General Dermatology and Cosmetics patients at our Brandon office.
Martin Burke, PA-C was born in Atlanta, Georgia but raised in Tampa. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science at the University of South Florida and attended the University of Florida where he earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to attending the University of Florida, Martin worked for 8 years at Tampa General Hospital as a Radiology Tech in their very busy ER. It was his employment at Tampa General Hospital that inspired Martin to return to school to become a Physician’s Assistant. He is a current member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. Martin chose to practice in Dermatology because he loves the variety of pathologies and procedures that dermatology has to offer. Being a Florida native and spending much of his childhood outdoors he feels passionate about skin cancer awareness and detection. Martin also enjoys the direct patient contact that comes with working in Dermatology.
Martin spent several years at an East Coast dermatology practice before returning to Tampa Bay to be closer to family. He has a wife and 2 busy children that occupy most of his free time but does enjoy both fresh and salt water fishing.
A diehard Gators fan, Martin also admits to being a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and supports his home town team no matter what.

May Ko, ARNP was born in Queens, NY and raised in Florida, graduating from the Palm Harbor University High School medical program. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Florida. In between programs, May worked for 2 years as an RN in oncology. It was during these two years that may decided to return to school to obtain her Master’s.
May loves to fish, cook, and hang out with family and friends. She is drawn to music and plays both the piano and the guitar. May has a dog named London who is very much her child and has a close relationship with her two sisters, 4 nieces and nephew. They definitely keep her busy on weekends.
May is a first generation Chinese American and is proud to be the first in her family to graduate with a Master’s degree.
May loves all aspects of dermatology and is excited to join the Suncoast Skin Solutions team.

Aaron Alexander Sookhoo, PA-C a Tampa Bay native, is a board-certified Physician Assistant. Aaron received his Bachelor of Science Degree with a focus of Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Public Health from the University of South Florida in May 2012. Aaron then attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine’s Physician Assistant Program and graduated with a Masters of Medical Science degree in May 2015. After graduating from Wake Forest University, Aaron obtained extensive clinical and surgical experience in general orthopedic surgery and orthopedic spine surgery in the Tampa area. Aaron has completed a Dermatological and Cosmetic Surgery externship with a Mohs Surgeon and Dermatopathologist in Winston-Salem, NC. He is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). While at Wake Forest University, Aaron was a member of the Katherine Anderson Society of the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (SAAAPA).
In his spare time, Aaron enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Aaron and his wife, Samantha, spend most of their time chasing after their daughter, Rhani, and their son, Rowan. He has a twin brother who is also in the medical field. He has an older sister who works as a real estate advisor/consultant. Aaron and his brother grew up playing competitive soccer both domestically and internationally.
Aaron enjoys lecturing and his involvement with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. He is also a mentor for the Leroy Selmon Learning USF Student-Athlete Mentorship Program.
Aaron is of Trinidadian and Guyanese decent and enjoys spending time in the Caribbean visiting family.
