Treatment of Scars in Florida

Clear away unsightly scars in one easy session

Sunlight, abrasion, pressure, and pulling on wounds during their healing phase can result in abnormal and unsightly scarring. Pink, raised, even rippled scarring can benefit from laser skin resurfacing. The Palomar ICON XD/XF™ harnesses the power of light to clear away pigment and textural irregularities, even those formed many years ago. Most patients see full results after only one Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing session.

How does Palomar Icon 1540 XD/XF for Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing treatment of Scars work?

Fractional Skin Resurfacing works by directing arrays of light at the skin in precise increments, to create columns of coagulated tissue within the dermis and epidermis. In simpler terms, Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing works by creating precisely controlled micro-damage to the tissue, which causes your body to replace that tissue with new tissue. Part of your body’s immune response to this micro-damage will be to generate new collagen, in addition to new skin cells. The Palomar Icon 1540 XD/XF provides a more controlled form of micro-damage than other lasers on the market, causing less damage to the surrounding tissues, and therefore less redness, and shorter healing times than other lasers. The control that the individual user has with the Palomar Icon 1540 XD/XF allows us to provide treatment for a wider range of skin types and concerns.
